Making connections: Foundational microbiology for massage therapists

How can things too tiny to even be seen with our unassisted eyes have such profound effects on our bodies and our societies, and what can we do about those effects?

Klebsiella pneumoniae, a Gram-negative rod, implicated in pneumonia and urinary tract infections. Stained 23 September 2009, Bellevue College, by RST.

This e-Book provides a comprehensive foundation in microbiology for massage therapists, building upon the introductory anatomy information provided in the human systems e-Book. Completing the material in this e-Book will give the student a better grounding and more thorough understanding of natural microbiological processes in domains as diverse as health and disease, food science, and environmental adaptations. This material is prerequisite knowledge for massage educational objectives, as outlined by various stakeholders in the following table.
